Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Teamless handles personal information collected through getteamless.com (the "Site"). It covers the public website only. The Teamless application, when available, will have its own privacy documentation.

Teamless is an early-stage software project operated from Alberta, Canada.

1. Privacy contact

The privacy contact for the Site is the Founder, Teamless.

For any privacy question, access request, correction request or deletion request, email hello@getteamless.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us when you request access. When you submit the Request access form, we collect:

• your name, work email and company (required)
• your role or title (optional)
• your answer to "What are you hoping Teamless could help you remember or improve?" (optional)

Please do not include confidential or sensitive information in the optional answer.

Information recorded with your request. We also record:

• the page where you submitted the form
• if you first arrived through a link with campaign parameters, the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign values and the page you first landed on
• when you first submitted a request
• when you most recently submitted
• how many times the same email address has submitted

If you submit more than once with the same normalized email address, we update the existing request rather than creating a separate request record.

Technical information. Our hosting infrastructure processes technical request information such as IP address, browser information and request metadata to deliver and protect the Site.

3. Why we use this information

We use this information to:

• review access requests and follow up about Teamless
• understand what prospective users hope Teamless can help with
• understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the Site
• operate, secure and protect the Site and access form
• measure aggregate Site usage if analytics is enabled

Submitting an access request does not add you to a newsletter or general marketing mailing list.

We do not sell personal information and do not use access-request information for targeted advertising.

4. Attribution cookie

The Site uses a first-party cookie called `tl_attr` when you arrive through a link carrying campaign parameters.

It stores the first-touch campaign parameters and landing page for up to 30 days so a later access request can be attributed to that visit. It is not used to track you across unrelated websites.

5. Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics may be enabled for aggregate Site measurement. If enabled, Teamless uses it for page measurement and the events `request_access_start` and `request_access_complete`.

Teamless does not attach custom properties containing your name, email, company, role or optional form answer to those events.

We do not currently use a separate website error-monitoring service.

6. Service providers

We use service providers to operate the Site:

These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms, privacy commitments and security practices.

7. Processing outside Canada

Some of our service providers operate or process information in the United States and other countries.

Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the country where it is processed and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies or other authorities in that jurisdiction.

8. How long we keep access requests

Our current policy is to keep access-request records for up to 12 months after the most recent submission unless the information needs to be kept longer for a legal reason.

We may delete information sooner when it is no longer needed or when a valid deletion request applies.

If you later create a Teamless account, your access-request record remains subject to this retention policy unless we delete it sooner. Information associated with a product account is governed separately by the privacy documentation applicable to that account.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in Supabase backups or, if enabled, point-in-time recovery data until those recovery copies expire under the applicable backup or recovery retention schedule. We do not use recovery copies for routine operations.

Non-identifying aggregate statistics may be retained for longer.

9. Your choices

You may contact us to ask to:

• access personal information we hold about you
• correct inaccurate information
• delete your access request
• withdraw or change consent where applicable

Email hello@getteamless.com. We may need enough information to identify the relevant request before acting on it.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide additional rights or complaint processes.

10. Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the information involved, including encrypted connections, server-only database access, row-level security, pseudonymous rate-limit identifiers and application logging designed not to contain form contents.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site or our practices change. The current version will be posted here with its effective date.

If we make a material change to how we use information already collected, we will address any notice or consent requirements that apply before using the information for the new purpose.
